Modification of data

You can modify your registration data in the following ways:

The modification of the mobile phone number associated with a user in the Cl@ve system is specially protected and can only be done through the Internet, accessing the electronic headquarters of the Tax Agency or from application "Cl@ve PIN" for mobile devices, by electronic certificate or DNIe or by video call. Also through personation in a Cl@ve Registry office.

By electronic certificate or DNIe:

1. Access the option "Other Procedures" - "Modify the phone with certificate or electronic DNi" within the Cl@ve Section of the Tax Agency.

2. Choose your digital certificate.

3. Modify the phone. Read and accept the conditions.

4. You will receive the confirmation.

Via video call:

To use this service you can access it from the application "Cl@ve PIN" for mobile devices or from a computer with camera, microphone and speakers.

This service can only be used to act on your own behalf and is not possible for minors (they must go face-to-face to a Cl@ve Registry office).

El hours of operation The video assistance service will be from Monday to Thursday (except national holidays) of 09:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00 (peninsular time); Friday, from 9:00 to 14:00.

2. Indicate the DNI/NIE.

Depending on the type of document, different additional data will be requested below:

  • ID: indicates the date of validity or the date of issuance.
  • Permanent ID (no period of validity) it is only possible to use the date of issuance.
  • NIE: the support number that appears in your document will be requested.

3. Video Assistance Procedures: Make a test video call and accept that the device is configured to access video assistance. Keep in mind that if this test does not work, the operator will not be able to attend to you.  

4. Access the Waiting Room The operator assigned to you who will give you access when your turn comes. If you decide to access this service, you will be informed of the average waiting time at that time.

5. Access the Video Call:

Have your ID or NIE ready, which you must show to the public employee to identify yourself. If you use the NIE, you must also show your passport.You should also have the phone you want at handuse on Cl@ve.

In person:

To change your phone number in person, it is essential to have the physical presence of the person who wants to change their number in one of the registration offices, as well as to come with their ID.

The network of registration offices throughout Spain operates as registration offices State Tax Administration Agency, of the Social Security Management and Common Services Entities, of the State Public Employment Service and the network of Information and Citizen Services offices of the Government Delegations and Sub-Delegations. Likewise, numerous Autonomous Communities and Local Entities have also enabled their networks of offices to carry out the processes of modification of the data provided in the accreditation of Cl@ve.

You can find the list of Registry Offices updated in the search engine of the General Access Portal.Mark the option ‘Cl@ve’ So that the offices that offer this service appear. Remember, too, that many offices require a prior appointment.

This option allows you to modify the email address that was provided in the registration. You can make this modification from the website of the Tax Agency or from the application "Cl@ve PIN" for mobile devices.
