The PIN will have a length of 3 alphanumeric characters and it is generated by the Tax Agency.

The PIN you will receive on your mobile phone may have letters (excluding eñe) and/or digits (excluding zero, one, eight and nine).

For example, if you receive "XOI", the characters you should enter on the authentication screen will be the letters "equis", "o" and "i".

The PIN plus the key provided by us at the time of request of the same, configure the access code that allows the procedures to be carried out electronically

A document electronically signed by a certification service provider that links signature verification data to a signer and confirms his or her identity. This is the definition of Law 59/2003 that in this document extends to cases in which the linking of the signature verification data is made to a computer component.

Certificate issued by a Certification Service Provider that meets the requirements established in the Law regarding the verification of the identity and other circumstances of the applicants and the reliability and guarantees of the certification services they provide, in accordance with the provisions of chapter II of Title II of Law 59/2003, of 19 December, on Electronic Signature.

an electronic signature certificate issued by a qualified trust service provider and meeting the requirements set out in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 910/2014.

Issued as Recognized or qualified Certificates, they link a series of personal data of the citizen to certain keys, to guarantee integrity and not repudiation. This information is electronically signed by the Certification Authority created for this purpose.

The asymmetric cryptography on which the PKI is based uses a key pair so that what is encrypted with one of them can only be decrypted with the other and vice versa. One of these keys is called public and is included in the electronic certificate, while the other is called private and only the holder of the certificate has access to it.

one-time password sent for registration and use in the Cl@ve system.

Code provided in the Registration process in the Cl@ve system.

Authentication system designed for people who need frequent access to the Administration's electronic services. It is based on the use of a user code, your DNI or NIE, and a password that is set in the activation process and that should only be known by the citizen. For e-government services that require a high level of security, the system strengthens authentication with the Single Use Numeric Code (OTP) entry request.

Sequence of characters that allow access to DNI certificates.

are unique data, such as codes or private cryptographic keys, that the signer uses to create the Electronic Signature.

are data, such as codes or public cryptographic keys, that are used to verify the Electronic Signature.

instrument that serves to apply the signature creation data complying with the requirements established in article 24.3 of Law 59/2003, of December 19, on Electronic Signature.

an electronic signature creation device meeting the requirements listed in Annex II to Regulation (EU) 910/2014.

A set of logical records stored in a medium capable of being read by electronic data-processing equipment, containing information.

It is the set of data in electronic form, consigned together with others or associated with them, which can be used as a means of personal identification.

It is an electronic signature that allows to establish the personal identity of the signer with respect to the signed data and to verify the integrity of the same, because it is exclusively linked to both the signer and the data to which it refers, and because it has been created by means that it maintains, with a high level of confidence, under its exclusive control.

It is that advanced electronic signature based on a recognized certificate and generated by a secure signature creation device.

procedure for recognising the identity of an applicant or holder of centralised ID and signature certificates.

the process of using a person’s identification data in electronic format that uniquely represents a natural person.

A set of characters that are used for the univocal identification of a user in a system.

A set of certification authorities that maintain trusted relationships whereby a higher-level CA ensures the reliability of one or more lower-level CAs. In the case of centralized DNI and signature certificates, the hierarchy has two levels, the Root AC at the top level guarantees the trust of its subordinate ACs.

A list containing only the relationships of revoked certificates.

Hardware module used to perform cryptographic functions and store keys in safe mode.

a natural or legal person who issues electronic certificates or provides other services in connection with the electronic signature.

a natural or legal person who provides one or more trusted services.

trust service provider who provides one or more qualified trust services and to whom the supervisory authority has granted the qualification.

Person who requests a certificate for himself.

person or entity other than the holder who decides to accept and rely on a certificate issued for the ID or centralized signature certificates.

Citizen for whom a certificate of public identity and electronic signature is issued.
