To make use of Cl@ve Permanente you have to follow the following steps:
Perform the registration process at Cl@ve, and thus obtain an Activation Code.
Access the user activation service located both in the Your Social Security portal or in the electronic security headquarters in the Password Management section, and complete the following user data: ID/NIE, Email, Activation Code).
Recibirás en el móvil que facilitaste en el acto de registro un código numérico de verificación (One Time Password, OTP) que deberás introducir para seguir con el proceso de activación de usuario.
If you have completed everything correctly, you will be asked to enter the desired password, provided that you comply with the password policy defined in the comments on the page.
Once all these steps have been completed, you will be able to start using the accessible services through the authentication of Cl@ve Permanente.
In order to activate your user Cl@ve Permanente you will be asked for the ID/NIE number, the activation code that you were given in the registration act and the email you provided in that registration. In addition, you must have at hand the mobile phone you provided in the registration act, to which you will send an SMS with a numerical verification code (OTP) that you must enter in order to then enter your desired password and end with the activation of your user Cl@ve Permanente.
The password must meet a number of requirements. These requirements are:
Minimum length 8 characters.
It shall contain at least three of the following groups: lower case letters, upper case letters, digits and special characters (¡!$?%&#@/\()=¿?*[];,:._<>+-).
If the password has a length equal to or greater than 16 characters there will be no restrictions in the type of characters to be used.
It shall not contain the name, surname or ID/NIE.
To use the Cl@ve Permanente user/password, you first need to access an e-government service that enables authentication through Cl@ve Permanente. This service will redirect you to a Cl@ve screen where you can select the Cl@ve Permanente option. You will also be redirected to another screen that your user and password will ask for. If authentication is correct, you will be given access to the service.
User activation and password management services can make use of SMS sending a verification numeric code (One Time Password, OTP)
The user activation services and password forgetfulness will ask for the verification code to validate the user's authentication.
Password change services and user drop-off will ask for this code as a confirmation of the operation, i.e. to complete the service.
Please check the following situations:
If you are using a multiSIM card, SMS shipments are made to the main number and not to the secondary number. Check that you are registered with your mobile terminal with the correct number.
Make sure that your operator is not restricted from sending and/or receiving special numbers SMS.
The problem may be the configuration of your mobile terminal. Please try inserting your SIM card on another terminal. (in 90% of cases, when testing on another phone, all SMS pending delivery have been received).
The user code cannot be forgotten, as it will always be your ID/NIE.
If you've forgotten your password, you'll be able to set a new password as long as you've retained the activation code. In order to do so, you must have access to password forgetting service and follow the steps indicated.
You can't change the user code, because it will always be your DNI/NIE.
To change your password, you must authenticate to the password change service and follow the steps described in that service.
The security question is used to prevent malicious bots from logging real users through brute force attacks by other people.

The important thing is to know how you made the registration, whether it was in a Social Security office or in another registration office of Cl@ve. Only registered users in Cl@ve offices will be able to perform these operations.
Even so, all registered users in Social Security who are not in Cl@ve will be offered the migration to Cl@ve when they are authenticated in any Social Security service, or when accessing the portal Tu Seguridad Social.
This means that you registered with the Social Security before the entry of Cl@ve, so you have not given your consent to use in Cl@ve the data you have registered in the Social Security. In order to make use of all the services available at Cl@ve you must incorporate yourself to this platform through the indicated migration process.
The logo of Cl@ve appears to indicate that the portal Tu Seguridad Social is accessible to users of Cl@ve, as well as to users of Social Security.
