Password Features

Using this service you can activate your Cl@ve Permanente user and create your own login password.

User activation

Access the service

1. Access the User Activation Service and complete the following user data: DNI/NIE, Email, Activation Code provided to you in the registration act.

2. If they are correct, the system will send you an SMS with a single use numeric code (One Time Password, OTP) that you will need to type in the field of the corresponding form.

3. If correct, the system will allow you to set the password you prefer, provided that it meets minimum security characteristics. This password will be used from now on whenever an e-government requires it.

If you erroneously enter the activation code more than 5 times, the system will inform you and then block the activation code. In this case, it will be necessary to generate a new activation code, for which you will have to perform the registration act again in Cl@ve.

Password Management

If you’ve forgotten your password or just want to change it, you can reset it again at any time with one of the following:

  • Password change

For reasons of expiration or security, you may want to change your password. To do this, you access the password change service and follow the steps described there.

If the password is forgotten or blocked by exceeding the maximum number of 5 failed attempts, a new password may be set provided that you have retained the activation code. To do this, you must access the password activation service and follow the steps indicated.

If you haven't retained the activation code, you can get a new activation code by re-performing the activation act. registration in CL@ve .

  • Regenerate the Code of Activation of Cl@ve permanently.

You can unsubscribe from Cl@ve Permanente using this service.

If, for any reason, you do not want to keep your Cl@ve Permanente user active, you must make use of the unsubscribe service.

If at any later time you want to reactivate your Cl@ve Permanente, you will need to reprocess the registration process at Cl@ve.

Password security requirements

In order for the system to have a certain level of security, it is necessary for the access password to meet minimum requirements that make it robust against attacks aimed at obtaining it.

The main requirements that are required for the password of Cl@ve permanente are:

  • It must have a minimum length of 8 characters.
  • It must contain at least one character for each of the following groups: lower case letters, upper case letters, digits and special characters.
  • The lyrics and ç, as well as the vowels with tilde are considered allowed letters. One of the following may be used as special characters:
  • ¡!$?%&#@/\()=¿?*[];,:._<>+-
  • If the password has a length equal to or greater than 16 characters there will be no restrictions on the type of characters to use (this allows using a full phrase as a password).
  • The password may not contain the name, surname or ID.
  • The above password cannot be used in the renewal of the password.

Your password expires at 2 years, being obligatory to change after this time. If you access the service after this time, you will be asked to renew your password. You can also modify it at any time through the Password Change service, from which time you will have another 2 years in force.

Password security recommendations

In addition, it is advisable to follow the following guidelines in creating and managing secure passwords:

  • Avoid using the same password you already use in other systems or services.
  • Do not use personal information in the password: own or family name, surname, date of birth. And, of course, never use data like the ID or phone number.
  • Avoid using basic keyboard sequences (e.g. “asdf” or numeric ones: “1234”, etc.
  • Do not repeat the same characters in the same password. (e.g. “111222”).
  • Do not use user-related data that is easily deductible, or derived from such data. (e.g. not password nicknames, the name of the actor or a favorite fictional character, etc.) ).
  • Do not write or reflect the password in a paper or document where it is recorded, or never send it by email or in an sms. Neither should it be facilitated nor mentioned in a conversation or communication of any kind.
